PRAYING FOR REVIVAL IN TRUMBULL COUNTY
SAVE THE DATE: MAY 27 - JUNE 3, 2012
Dream with us for a moment. Imagine setting aside a time for your church to seek God together. Really seek God. Imagine that as the Word is preached and people are challenged to respond, some of your deacons get saved. The couple on the brink of divorce have a change of heart and see God begin to heal their marriage. Adultery is confessed, but instead of the marriage being dissolved, grace is extended. A rebellious teenager comes to his parents and confesses his sin, then asks forgiveness from the entire church body for dragging their name and the name of Christ through the mud. A man confesses dishonesty from years gone by, risking imprisonment, because of the conviction of God in his life. People begin to give more than they ever have before to the work of the Lord, and are actually excited about giving. There is a new-found joy among the people as they experience the blessing of God because of their obedience to His Word. Others get saved as a direct result of God’s work in the lives of the people in your church.
The above scenarios are all taken from true stories of God’s work in the lives of individuals and churches through the outreach of Life Action Ministries. This is a family-centered revival ministry whose aim is to ignite Christ-centered movements of revival among God’s people.
This spring at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds, we have the opportunity to participate in a week of Life Action meetings, known as a Summit. These meetings, sponsored by the Bristol Area Ministerial Association (BAMA), are free of charge for you and your church members to attend, and you will not be pressured to give. All that is required of you is your time, but it is an investment you will never regret. While this ministry normally sends out teams into individual churches, they have agreed to work with us as we seek to encourage many churches in our area to come together for a community Summit. This in itself is evidence that God is at work on behalf of this area! It will be a time for the Church--God’s people--to examine our own hearts and lives in light of God’s Word, and allow Him to bring about transformation in our lives, families, churches, and communities.
BAMA is sponsoring this community wide event next spring. We are bringing a Life Action community summit to the area May 27 - June 3. This will include Sunday morning joint services both Sunday's.
